Chat is a simple addition to a workplace solution that can provide a lot of value. It can be a way to directly communicate with concierge or reception staff while in a meeting, at your desk or whenever you need service.

It also provides an opportunity to trigger automation based on chat-bots. This allows to setup workflows that are triggered when the bot sees a request such as room booking questions. Rather than wait for the concierge to respond to a room booking request- the bot can reply with an available room. And a real person can always see what’s going on to interject if required.

We can tie chat from the workplace app into any communication tool with an appropriate API. This includes Slack and Cisco Spark. We would love to get your feedback on what other chat applications we should support- such as Facebook Workplace or Microsoft teams.
